Photos of two Northern California wetlands sites are being presented in an exhibit at the Marilyn Citron O’Roark Gallery inside the Benicia Public Library entitled Marsh, Mud, and Microbes. The Exhibit features photography by Sally Mack.  In addition to subjects such as pickleweed, reeds, and water, there are photos of Archaea, a microbe which is a 3-billion year-old life form, one of the oldest on earth. Microbiologist Wayne Lanier, PhD, who identified the Archaea, created a presentation to accompany this exhibit. An artist reception will be held Saturday, September 16, 2:30-5:00pm, 150 East L Street, 707.746.4343.
