What did you listen to as a teenager?

Beatles, Broadway and Brazilian Jazz

What do you listen to now?

Jazz, Broadway, Great American Songbook… when my son isn’t listening to rap!

Who influenced your music?

My parents loved having music on in the house. They were the ones.

When did you know you wanted to be a musician?

It was just always a part of my life…either hearing it, singing in the car with my parents, seeing a musical or concert. I’m fortunate to never have been without its influence, joy and harmony.

What was your best moment on stage?

Hoping it’s yet to come. In general though, it’s when you feel you’ve managed to get yourself out of the way and the muses are working through you.

You have worked with an amazing array of co-stars including Sir Laurence Olivier, Pierce Brosnan, Robby Benson, William Shatner and, of course, Andy Griffith, Henry Winkler and Steve Carell. Is it possible to pick a “favorite?”

Hmmm…no. What a delicious list though. Thank you for reminding me!!!

Is it still fun when people recognize you as Fonzie’s girlfriend from Happy Days?

You bet. I’m always flattered and delighted to be reminded of what really were Happy Days.

Where can we see you perform?

At the Willows Theatre on Saturday, November 5 at 8pm in a gala benefit for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Right here in Contra Costa and Solano counties, one in six families struggle with hunger. I’m honored to lend my voice to helping those in need.

How can we get tickets for the benefit?

You can call 925.798.1300 or go online www.willowstheatre.org.
