During the month of April, Gallery 621 highlights the artwork of Linda Stevenson Dunlop, an abstract painter, sculptor, and printmaker who has been with the gallery almost since its inception a decade ago.

"Working with material, tools, and equipment is a physical process that sets me still of mind while moving my body to the next creation,” she explains in her artist's statement. She is fascinated by the power of the hand and tools to change the flow of the work. "It’s a powerful feeling. I release myself to the moment in time while working my images."

Dunlop's exhibit runs from April 1 through May 6, and a reception will be held Saturday, April 13, 4-6pm.

One of the most enduring membership-run galleries in Benicia, Gallery 621 showcases original, contemporary fine art of various media, from painting and printmaking to 3D ceramic sculpture.
