What makes the county fair such a popular icon of American culture? With a rich history going back multiple centuries, the county fair is a quintessential slice of Americana, showcasing the best talent, livestock, food and entertainment a community has to offer.

According to the International Association of Fairs and Expositions, over 3,200 country fairs are held in North America each year, with California bringing in its share of significant revenue: $2.55 billion flows annually into the state’s coffers, along with 28,000 jobs.
