Benicia Literary Arts offers a memoir writing class called “Sharing Our Stories” beginning on Tuesday, September 12th at 1:30 pm and continuing every Tuesday for six weeks. Taught by Debbie Weiss, author of “Available As Is: A Midlife Widow’s Search for Love.”
In September, a Memoir Class led by Debbie Weiss which she is calling, “Sharing Our Stories” will begin. It will be a two–hour class running for six weeks from 1:30 –3:30pm., Tuesday afternoons starting September 12th. It meets at the Rescom Properties office located downtown at 376 First Street (same block as Drift). Ten students maximum. The cost is $100 for members; $150 for non members. Weiss is the author of a memoir, Available As Is, A Midlife Widow’s Search for Love, published in 2022. A former lawyer, she also received an MFA in creative writing from Saint Mary’s College and had essays published in The New York Times “Modern Love,” section, the Huffington Post, Woman’s Day, and Reader’s Digest.
