Benicia Main Street brings a number of festive holiday events and promotions to Downtown. The calendar of events is as follows:

November 4 – December 1 – Downtown Holiday Shopping Spree
This extended shopping event offers shoppers a chance to enter a drawing for downtown shopping spree valued at $500 in Downtown Dollars. For every $10 shoppers spend at participating stores, they will receive one ticket for the drawing. The drawing will take place on December 2nd, the evening of the Holiday Open House.

December 2— Holiday Open House & Tree Lighting
A cherished holiday tradition enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors.  The holiday season kicks off with the Holiday Open House at 6pm.  Merchants keep their doors open until 9pm serving seasonal refreshments.  At approximately 6:30pm at the foot of First Street the public can view the lighting of the Christmas tree and enjoy live music by Kris Kringle & The Mistletones.  Attendees can enjoy open-air, horse-drawn carriage rides; cost is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 12.  Wine stations are set up at three different locations:  90 First Street at the Railroad Depot, 501 First Street and 831 First Street.  Holiday carolers dressed in period costume and other local musicians add to the festivies.

December 10 —Christmas Parade & Holiday Market 
In its 17th year, the Christmas Parade & Holiday Market takes over First Street with holiday cheer at 10am. The parade starts at First and D Streets and continues up First Street, ending at H Street.  The parade features local bands, dancers and Santa.  The Holiday Market features handcrafted and gourmet gift items. The Holiday Market hours are 10am to 3pm and is located on First Street between  B and D Streets. 

December 17—It’s A Wrap!
People can complete their holiday shopping on Saturday, December 17th where First Street shops open early at 8:00am and stay open late till 8:00pm. Complementary gift wrapping is available at participating downtown businesses.
