Benicia Main Street, once again, rolls out its wildly popular Wine & Chocolate Walk, Saturday, February 4, 1-5pm in Downtown Benicia. This is a sip and stroll event, where attendees wend their way up and down First Street tasting a variety of red, white and sparkling wines inside participating businesses, which, at last count, was 20 shops.

Merchants go all out with delectable chocolate treats that pair well with the wine. This event appeals to wine lovers, chocolate aficionados and those seeking an a fun, albeit early, Valentine experience with their sweetheart. Tickets are $25 advance for a single ticket and $45 for a pair of tickets. Tickets purchased the day of the event are $30 advance for a single ticket and $55 for a pair of tickets. The price includes up to 15 tastes, and one complimentary Benicia Main Street wine glass. Participants must be age 21 and over. Check-in starts at 12:30pm at Benicia Main Street, 90 First Street, inside the restored train depot along the waterfront. The wine glass, map of tasting locations and wristband will be provided at check-in. Each ticket holder must be present at check-in. No matter the weather, this event is an annual sell-out, rain or shine; no refunds are given for inclement weather. After check in, choose locations according to preference, meandering at leisure to each participating merchant experiencing wine and chocolate heaven, noting favorite tastes along the way.
