Lisa Duncan, Benicia Magazine’s intrepid photographer who also shoots weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, traveled to Oregon August 17 to capture the perfect “ring” shot, nanoseconds after totality, of the solar eclipse. That photo now hangs in a place of honor at Benicia’s Lucca Bar and Grill. In mid-December, Lisa was at Abbotts Lagoon, Point Reyes trailhead, to capture the Geminid Meteor Shower.
Viewed around the world annually, the Geminid is an asteroid meteor shower, is named after the Gemini Constellation and can be seen every year between Dec. 4 and 16, peaking mid-month. Here’s Lisa’s shot of the event.
