In honor of the 70th anniversary of VE-Day, the spring event at the Benicia State Capitol salutes Benicia WWII Living History Day, honoring veterans. The program, a collaboration between the California State Parks, the Benicia State Parks Association and the Bay Area Women’s and Men’s Historical Representation Society, includes military and civilian vehicles of the era, participants dressed in 1940s military and civilian attire, a fashion show depicting the styles of the war years, artifacts, displays, and music and dancing of the 1940s.
