Like most Bay Area cities, the Benicia real estate market has heated up in recent years, fueled by low inventory with current homeowners staying put, and only a handful of new homes being built. Even with the spate of new homes on Benicia’s Downtown West Side, where most of the remaining single lots are being built-out with large, custom homes (and one tiny one), there are not enough houses for the many people trying to move here.
Benicia’s ideal location between the Carquinez and Benicia bridges, with easy access to North Concord Bart and the Vallejo Ferry, commuting is a breeze by today’s standards. Benicia’s scenic waterfront and historic charm, combined with a lively downtown, has many clamoring for their own slice of paradise, often to no avail.
