Save the Shows
Thank you to everyone who attended last year’s inaugural Benicia Drone Show!
If you were lucky enough to catch last year’s Independence Day celebration at the waterfront, then you witnessed an incredible spectacle! The holiday began with the annual Torchlight Parade on July 3rd followed with live music and then an incredible presentation – the Ace Centennial Skyshow, a massive drone show over the Benicia waterfront. Music continued the following afternoon on July 4th with fireworks at sunset.
At its December 20th meeting, Benicia City Councilmembers discussed a staff proposal recreate those festivities and bring back music and a drone show to Benicia again this July! At a cost of $250,000, this is a huge undertaking and will require the support and the coordinated effort of the City, the Benicia Chamber of Commerce, as well as major sponsorships and community support.
