Loads of Benicia talent on the stage 9/25! Don’t miss the 8th annual Fall Follies Community Talent Showcase 2010 at the Haley Horn Auditorium, 6pm. Hosted by Soroptimist International of Benicia, this year’s show promises fresh talent in addition to returning participants. This is a popular event for the entire family to enjoy. Remarkable talent, a great time and over 100 raffle items to win - look them over prior to the show starting!   Saturday, September 25Haley Horn Auditorium, Benicia High School Tickets $15 adults, $10 children 12 & under Available at Benicia Main Street, Benicia Chamber of Commerce and at the door. Big Month for Benicia

Staying home this month? Benicia is chock-full of events in July. A great time for the entire family can be had at Benicia Main Street’s annual Freedom Festival Torchlight Parade, starting at 6:30pm July 3rd. This quintessential American event has been going on for decades, and every year draws thousands of people to First Street to jockey for the best viewing position. On July 4th, the Picnic in the Park and Fireworks begins at noon and ends after the fireworks around 10pm. Make sure you bring chairs and blankets – it can get chilly along the waterfront and other downtown viewing spots. Rocky LaPorte, honored Top Male Comic of the Year by Las Vegas club owners, returns to the Empress Theatre in Vallejo July 9 for an evening of comic relief. Softball, bocce ball...
