The Marilyn Citron O’Rourke Gallery at the Benicia Public Library will feature paintings by Tom Stanton in the exhibit “My Town is a River Town at the Edge of Land,” and the exhibit “Sublime: Prints on Paper,” featuring the works of artists Susan De Haven and Carol Brent Levin.
Graceful and elegant concrete sculptures, showing movement that seems to defy gravity, are “choreographed” by the artist. Oros strives to evoke the connection between heart and mind and “embrace humanness.”
The HQ Gallery, which made its debut in May 2016, is moving from the upper Arsenal to First Street, next to Gallery 621 and the Plein Air Gallery. Artist works include printmaking, watercolors, graphite drawings and more.
After Benicia artist Donna Covey transitioned from a career in art education, she turned to painting herself, to much success with her local scenes in Benicia and other Northern California communities.
Benicia artist Nikki Basch-Davis is featured at Gallery 621 in February 2017, for her paintings in the upcoming show “Connections.” A skilled artist and teacher, Basch-Davis’ paintings have been shown in many exhibits throughout the years.
